Three staff members at the Bishop Walker School attended the NAES Biennial Conference—Head of School, Chaplain, and Director of Outplacement. They presented two sessions for the conference: “Creating a Culturally Responsive School Religion Program” and “Continuing the Legacy,” which focused on building sustainable, comprehensive alumni support. They were also able to attend the recognition for Sandi Hannibal, one of the founders of our school!
The grant for Community Outreach supported the school’s students in engagement with their community. They visited residents at the Thomas Circle Memory Care Facility and invited them to attend our Lessons and Carols performance, led a Thanksgiving Food Drive with Food for the City that provided food for over 500 families, and participated in the 20th Annual MLK Holiday Peace Walk and March.
