The Bishop Walker School (BWS), at long last, welcomed scholars back to campus for in-person, hybrid learning beginning April 26th! During the 2020-21 school year, our response to COVID has balanced meeting the immediate challenges of our students and their families and preparing for the long-term realities that emerged from those challenges. As a result, we developed a plan and created a network of partners to provide Responsive Distance Learning (RDL) – an approach that is flexible, resilient, and dynamic while creating equitable systems that benefit our scholars and their families beyond the pandemic. As we transitioned to hybrid, in-person learning, we continued offering the remote supports, partnerships, and technologies that have benefitted our scholars and families during COVID, while re-introducing the in-person activities that are so crucial to school life and the community of the BWS Village.
