[Chatham Hall] Chatham Hall is proud to offer a new program of $15,000 scholarships for girls who will contribute to the excellence and strength of its unique School community.
Chatham Hall, an independent, all-girls boarding-and-day high school located in Chatham, Virginia, has earned since its founding in 1894 a national and international reputation for its broad and strong college-preparatory program and its global educational community. At the center of the School is its honor code and strong Episcopal heritage. Its alumnae have earned positions of prominence in politics, business, education, medicine, engineering, and the arts, including the renowned painter Georgia O’Keeffe and Pulitzer Prize winning poet Claudia Emerson.
Chatham Hall’s unique programming includes annual service trips to South Africa and its Leader-in-Residence program, which brings world leaders to campus to meet with students. Recent Leaders in Residence have included Jane Goodall; Benazir Bhutto, Prime Minister of Pakistan; Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the current and first female President of Liberian; and Nancy Brinker, founder of The Race for the Cure.
