From 2008 to 2010, the National Association of Episcopal Schools sponsored a two-day residential retreat for heads of Episcopal schools that preceded the NAIS Annual Conference in February. Each of these gatherings focused on personal spiritual development and the spiritual component of headship, and were meant to serve as a time of rest, reflection, and refreshment for participants.
Although this event is currently on hiatus, NAES is committed to offering a residential heads retreat as part of its regular programming in the future. Now through February 28, heads of school are asked to complete an online survey designed to gauge their:
- general interest in a residential heads retreat;
- preferred frequency and format;
- preferred timing;
- preferred venue and setting; and
- the importance of various factors in influencing the decision to participate in a residential heads retreat.
The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Once begun, participants may go back to previous pages and update existing responses until the survey is finished or until they have exited the survey. After the survey is finished, participants will not be able to re-enter it.
Your responses will help NAES better plan a residential heads retreat in the future. Thank you for participating in this process!
