[VTSCMT] e-Formation, an ecumenical conference on faith formation in the digital age, will take place May 31-June 2, 2013 at Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, Virginia. Sponsored by the seminary’s Center for the Ministry of Teaching, the conference will offer session in English and Spanish.
The conference is designed for leaders invested in the future of faith formation, including:
- Pastors
- Congregational faith formation leaders
- Seminary/university professors and students
- Chaplains and campus ministers
- Religious schools leadership (K–12)
- Publishers of digital faith formation content
- Regional leaders in faith formation: district, synod, diocese
- National denominational leaders
- Denominational media organizations
The conference will take place Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2. It is structured to offer a one-day boot camp and a full weekend conference.
- e-Formation Tools Bootcamp: Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- e-Formation Weekend Conference: Friday, 6 p.m. – Sunday, 1 p.m.
The cost of the conference varies by level of participation and includes most meals:
- e-Formation Tools Bootcamp (Friday 9am – 5pm): $99
- e-Formation Weekend Conference (Friday 9am – Sunday 1pm): $239
- Full Conference (Bootcamp + Weekend; Friday 9am – Sunday 1pm): $299
