Position Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, nurturing, and flexible educators to step in as needed to support our preschool team. As a substitute preschool associate teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom and outdoor learning environment.

Hours
Between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., depending on need
Key Responsibilities
Support the lead teacher in delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Supervise and engage with children during classroom and playground activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by adhering to Title 22 standards.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with students and colleagues. .
Assist with snack preparation, nap time, and transitions throughout the day.
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and play-based learning.
Nurturing, flexible, and positive disposition.
Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Cultural competency and commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Skills
Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
Familiarity with Title 22 licensing regulations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Abilities
Job includes some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting low on the ground and/or crawling; hearing, speaking, observing and significant fine finger dexterity. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 40% walking and 45% standing and the ability to lift or move 50 pounds. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations, a generally hazard free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
Compensation
Pay ranges from $17.50-$21.00/hour
