Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher to join our Lower School team. This position requires a teacher with the developmental and pedagogical background to embrace young children in a warm, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment. Candidates should collaborate well with team members and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
● Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth
● Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and staff
● Implement technology for teaching and learning
● Collaborate with other educators and staff to promote a cohesive learning experience
● Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
● Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
● State certification or Statement of Eligibility
● Experience working with children in a classroom setting
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work collaboratively with a team
