|
The registration period for this meeting has ended.
In 2011, the Anglican Schools Association of Western Australia embarked on a major revision of its religious studies framework and invited NAES to collaborate with it on the project. An updated and expanded religious studies framework was launched in Australia in August 2013 and will be made available to NAES member schools in 2014.
The framework is organized into seven topical strands: The Bible and Christian Belief, the Story of the Church, Philosophy of Religion, World Religions, Meditation Prayer and Worship, Christian Ethics and Ethical Theory, and Faith in Action. Key questions, content, skills, and knowledge are provided for four different developmental stages: Early Childhood Years (grades K-2), Middle Childhood (grades 3-6), Early Adolescence (grades 7-9), and Late Adolescence (grades 10-12). This webinar will provide an overview of the framework along with a sampling of the thirty units of study developed to support it.
Appropriate for chaplains, teachers, and service learning coordinators across the K-12 span.
