A Retreat for Heads of School: Cultivating Joy in Leadership
Join us for a four-hour spiritual retreat designed especially for Episcopal heads of school. In the midst of the challenges and demands of educational leadership, take time to renew your spirit, connect with peers, and reflect on the deep wellspring of joy that sustains us in our calling.The retreat will center on The Book of Joy by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, exploring their profound insights on how to nurture joy even in the face of adversity. Through guided reflections, small-group discussions, and personal prayer, we’ll unpack the spiritual practices and perspectives that empower us to lead with resilience, compassion, and hope.
Rediscover the joy that transforms challenges into opportunities and connects us to one another in faith and love. We look forward to sharing this sacred time with you.
Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
This event is planned to coincide with the NAIS Annual Conference in Nashville. However, registration for the NAIS conference is NOT required to participate in this NAES event.

Cancellation and Other Policies:
Written cancellations received by e-mail, fks@episcopalschools.org, no later than 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, are entitled to a full refund less a $25 processing fee. Requests received after 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, or by any means other than fax or e-mail will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.All registrations are subject to acceptance. Registrations and received without payment will be returned. Registrations are NOT transferable and cannot be split among conference attendees.
Any and all liability of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) with respect to registration, reservations, cancellations, changes in the location or content of the program, and refunds is limited to a sum no greater than the registration fee paid. Under no circumstances shall NAES be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, the cost of transportation or lodging. Submission of registration and payment constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions herein.
