New York, NY — Planning is in full swing for the National Association of Episcopal Schools’ Biennial Conference 2010, November 18–20, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas, where our theme will be "From Every Family, Language, People, and Nation" (Rev. 5:9). In addition to keynote addresses, worship, and fellowship and networking events, the Conference will include meaningful professional and personal development workshops. NAES is pleased to announce here its call for workshop proposals, the submission deadline for which is November 30, 2009.
Guidelines, information about the types of workshops sought, an interactive proposal form, and directions for submitting a proposal are included in the below-listed PDF. As a guide to previously offered workshops and as a source of inspiration for 2010 workshop proposals, a copy of the Biennial Conference 2008 program is also provided.
The core of every Biennial is the array of theme-related and other workshops on a variety of topics spanning the range of grade configurations, educational settings, and leadership roles in Episcopal schools. These peer-to-peer offerings are critical to the success of the Conference program, and we hope that Episcopal school and church and other education leaders will consider submitting a workshop proposal. Here is your chance to participate in the community of Episcopal schools, share your knowledge and expertise with your peers, and contribute to the expanding body of best practices and knowledge about the mission and ministry of Episcopal schools. About Biennial Conference
Biennial Conference, held in the fall of even number calendar years, is the premier gathering of Episcopal school leaders from around The Episcopal Church, as well as a small but growing number of leaders from other parts of the Anglican Communion. Participants include heads of school, Early Childhood Education program directors, rectors, trustees, vestry members, chaplains and teachers of religion, senior administrators and faculty members, diocesan and regional school leaders, education professionals and consultants and friends.
