St. Stephen’s Grade 5 students recently enjoyed an overnight adventure at the Kennedy Space Center, where they combined hands-on learning with the wonders of space exploration. Highlights included meeting a NASA aerospace engineer from the Artemis Team, exploring Martian terrain, and learning about robotic rovers. The students watched a rocket launch that sent a GPS satellite into orbit—an unforgettable moment.
They designed capsule prototypes, strengthening problem-solving and teamwork skills, and spent the night sleeping under a rocket booster—a unique and inspiring experience. The next day began with the Heroes and Legends exhibit, which celebrated individuals who push beyond limits to make the world a better place.
Students marveled at the Apollo spacecraft, explored the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and embraced the message that nothing is impossible for those who persevere. This trip highlighted the power of courage, innovation, and teamwork, leaving students inspired to dream big and tackle challenges.
