Position Description

The St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School Advancement Office is responsible for engaging, cultivating, and soliciting over 7,000 active constituents including alumni, current parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Engagement assists in the planning and implementation of the school’s growing Annual Giving program (Saints Fund), oversees the GiveCampus volunteer program and manages alumni and parent volunteer platform use. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Engagement also assists the Director of Alumni Relations and Reunion Giving in the coordination of young alumni and current student giving and engagement.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in fundraising or other relevant areas. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, project management, and collaborative skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. This individual should have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. The candidate should expect to work with members of the school’s community while maintaining strict confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have some event management experience. Other qualifications include: effective time management skills, proficiency with G Suite, knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, GiveCampus, or other databases. Some evening/weekend event work is expected.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Annual Fund giving with the goal of increasing participation from young alumni, senior students, and non-leadership level donors;
  • Maintains a relevant portfolio of donors and volunteers moving them through the pipeline of cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship;
  • Manages key local and regional annual advancement events including; fundraising events to cultivate and steward annual fund donors and engagement events to grow connections between alumni and current students;
  • Assists with volunteer recruitment for annual fund and engagement efforts;
  • Educates and manages volunteers and staff associated with the Annual Fund and related solicitations and phonathons;
  • Assists with the oversight of the reunion giving program and class ambassador programs; giving programs for assigned reunion classes;
  • Manages the Annual Fund timeline;
  • Writes, schedules, and sends all Annual Fund solicitations and other communications including; email, letters, and social media;
  • Partners with an outside design firm to plan, coordinate and manage the design process for all direct mail pieces for Annual Fund prospects;
  • Partners with advancement services to segment constituents and pull lists for outreach;
  • Creates and grows the alumni instagram page and corresponding social media projects;
  • Collaborates with admission office in regards to welcoming and onboarding new families;
  • Assists with identifying and researching constituents for giving potential focusing on young alumni and certain reunion year alumni;
  • Benchmarks fundraising goals and tracks monthly progress toward achieving them;
  • Assists other members in the office as needed for special events and deadlines.
